perfect - and when they're talking about shipping wine, they're
absolutely correct.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
First off, you have to
be 21 years of age to place an order with us and all orders must be signed for
by an adult. Second, wine likes even temperatures, so the farther you
live from our shipping location (New York State), the faster you will
want your wines to arrive at your door. For example, if you live in
California, you may not want to select Standard Domestic -
what we're trying to say here is that you are responsible for
deciding your shipping terms - choose wisely.
WHERE WE CAN SHIP TO...
Oh, boy, now for the
legal mumbo-jumbo on all the states we can and can't ship to. Harsh
realities first; we absolutely can not ship to Florida,
Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee - lest we
want a world of hurt.
If you live in any of
the following states, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut,
Delaware, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts,
Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New
Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, {breathe}, Oklahoma,
Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah,
Vermont, Virginia, Wyoming, or the District of Columbia, your
purchase of wine through The Grape Exchange is assumed to have
originated in our store and you are authorizing The Grape Exchange to
arrange shipping on your behalf. Therefore, you will be charged the
current sales tax rate for our retail store. It is your responsibility
to know the local laws in your area.
If you live in Alaska or
Hawaii, we apologize, but you're just too damn far.
If you live in
California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, New
Mexico, Oregon, Washington, West Virginia, or Wisconsin, you're ready
to rock 'n roll.
A special note to our
New York customers - You have the option to select Store Pickup
during checkout if you wish to pick up your order at out retail
location (and we'd love to say hello to you). If you live in
Westchester County, we'll hop on our horse and deliver your order
to you for ten bucks (what a deal). Just select Priority during
checkout.
